Registered Behavior Technician

Begin January 1, 2024 The BACB notice that the responsible assessor, assistant assessor(s), and RBT applicant must be employed at (or all have a contractual relationship with) the same organization where the client is receiving services. This requirement applies to the entire Competency Assessment.

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a certified behavior analysis professional. The Certified RBT is under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA,

Why Should You Become an RBT?
There are many benefits to obtaining RBT certification, including:

• It shows that you have met certain requirements that are critical in delivering behavior analysis services.

• It provides increased consumer protection since you must meet certain eligibility (e.g., pass a
  criminal background check and an abuse registry check, meet certain knowledge requirements) and
  maintenance (e.g., receive ongoing supervision, adhere to an ethics code) requirements to obtain
  and maintain certification.

• It makes it easier for employers, funders, consumers, etc. to verify that you have certain knowledge,
  skills, and abilities; have appropriate oversight; and are not under disciplinary sanctions.

• It is a widely recognized and respected credential since it is offered by the BACB, the nation's first
  organization to certify behavior analysis professionals.

• Every aspirant to become an RBT you must have/Todo aspirante para convertirse en un RBT usted debe tener :

  2. High School Transcript or Bachelor Transcript
  Before you finish your 40 hour course you must have all these documents ready/Antes   usted  finalize su curso de las 40 horas usted debe tener todos estos documentos listos

You can also get 40 hours in Spanish, although you will also be given words you will need in English. The entire course is offered so that you can understand what ABA therapy is and how it is applied to each behavior.
